Looking 4 Cure
The Community
Community has always been at the heart of the HIV response and the advancement of therapies. There is no HIV cure research without ensuring quality of life and actively addressing stigma and discrimination while centering the voices and stories of people affected by HIV.
Community Voices Video Guide
Community means feeling seen, supported, and connected, no matter where you come from, how you identify, or what experiences you carry with you. Sharing stories, experiences, and knowledge can help reduce stigma, build trust, and remind people that they are not alone.
Supportive communities also play an important role in healthcare by helping people access information, find respectful providers, understand their rights, and feel more confident in taking care of their physical and mental wellbeing.
